WOW! Unbelievable activity. If you visit Alaska this is a must. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world. From the helicopter ride up to the glacier, to the experience of running with the dogs like you are in the Iditerod, Alpine Air does it with grace and style. The friendly crew is all about safety-first and you will feel like a VIP up there on the ice. FIVE STARS!

Kenny, Thank you for taking the time to write this review! Seeing Alaska from above is really unlike anything else. Now that you've gotten a taste of what dog mushing is like, you'll have to comeback and experience the Iditarod first hand! We're so glad we got to be a part of your Alaskan adventure. Kellie

Pick up from hotel, briefing at airport (shed and some tarmac) cover boots and outer waterproofs provided. Need your own layers underneath but was warm up on the glacier when we did it. Great short helicopter flight then a sled dog ride on the glacier. Driven by professional guide so you can just enjoy the view. Time to meet the dogs and meet/cuddle the puppies. Then short flight back. Worth noting that you can't take a bag or rucksack with you in the helicopter - you have to just take your camera and leave the rest at the office. All round brilliant experience.

We're happy to hear you enjoyed the glacier dog sledding trip! Our pilots know these mountains like the back of their hand, they make the 8 minute flight to the glacier so exciting with all their knowledge of the area. Thank You -Alexis

Before I even start, let me preface by saying this was the HIGHLIGHT of our Alaska adventure! We actually did an Alaska Cruise and during our cruise we had a dog sledding scheduled. Unfortunately, all the dog sledding tours were cancelled due to weather and melted snow. We were so bummed because the one thing we wanted was to go dog sledding. Since we had an extra day in Anchorage after our cruise, we decided to look up dog sledding around the Anchorage area and landed on Alpine Air Alaska. Needless to say, it was meant to be! From the second we walked into the hanger, the staff was super amazing and helpful. The helicopter ride was AWESOME and the dog sledding adventure was more than we could have ever anticipated! It was everything I imagined and more! When we returned, the staff wrote down a list of foodie restaurants in the area for us and also recommended the cutest nature hike nearby which takes less than 5 minutes to walk and lands you in front of the most beautiful natural waterfall. If you're looking for a fun Alaska adventure, using Alpine Air Alaska is a MUST!
