Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

We were celebrating our 40th anniversary with a series of special events. Sailing on the Wind Dancer was one of those events and the absolute best. The crew was excellent, kept things casual and comfortable. As a sailer myself it was gratifying to be invited to assist in crewing and even taking the helm for a time. The offering of local alcoholic beverages, snacks and meal was also a treat. Defiant enjoyed ourselves.

The crew was fantastic, we had a wonderful sunset sail. We enjoyed the food from locally sourced suppliers. The crew gave us tons of interesting information about the area, the ship. It was the perfect ending to a perfect trip to Traverse City.
