Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

My husband and I had an amazing experience! The crew was fabulous and made sure we were safe, offered excellent local foods and drinks and tended to all our needs and questions. We appreciated some special recognition for this cruise being an anniversary gift to my husband. The only challenge of our sunset cruise was the weather. The captain noted the waves to be about 3 1/2 feet and the wind about 20 knots. We managed to make it to the bow and crew members assured we were safe and also took some wonderful pictures for us. Otherwise, we stayed put, hung on, enjoyed the views including a spectacular sunset. I would highly recommend this adventure.

The whole experience was great. Very peaceful sailing in the bay. Weather was pleasant. Crew were outstanding and welcomed questions and explained things well to a novice. Food was great.
