Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

I surprised my husband with the Sunset Sail for his 60th birthday and our anniversary. Captain Dan and his mate’s were amazing! They are very knowledgeable and inter act with the passengers. They made my husband’s night when the asked if anyone wanted to help raise the sails! The food was delicious and the spirits were pretty tasty! We had a nice wind and sunshine until sunset when a large cloud rolled in, but the sky was still beautiful! We also got to meet some nice people. Thank You!

Playing Captain and steering the boat. Watching our friend raise the sail. Nice snacks. Nice lesson in the history of transportation in Michigan in the 1800"s.
