Tree Canopy Climbing on Lopez Island

Overview
Come experience the only old-growth tree climbing activity in the State of Washington and create some unforgettable memories. This is your chance to do something not even .1% of the population has done, but now you can. In small-groups climb together on 1-4 trees between 100 and 200 feet high, depending on your athletic level. Some of the trees are even rare old-growth trees. See the unique perspective above the canopy and feel what it's like to be eye level with an eagle as you climb/swing around like a monkey through the open air and catch branches, while safely harnessed by rope. Climb your way up some of the tallest trees in the world to amazing views of the upper canopy, mountains, and ocean. Connect to nature like you have never done before, beyond the trail.

During this activity you will explore the special ecology of old-growth trees and its importance in our environment and so much more.

Yep, that's what they call us now. We are two couples, ages 66-75, traveled alot for outdoor adventures, and this was certainly one of our favorite. We have the usual aches and pains for our demographic, so we were tired afterwards--in a good, spectacular way! We plan to bring our kids and grandkids for this soon. I second all the other comments, especially about Matt, who enriches the experience.

Thanks for coming out! You all climbed like champs and we look forward to climbing with you all again when you come back with your kids. You can show those young whippersnappers how old-growth tree climbing is done ;)

I took my team Canopy Climbing as an end of the year celebration for their hard work, it was an unforgettable experience! The trees and the natural surroundings were breathtaking in themselves, but what really gives this experience a 5/5 rating was our guide, Matt. Matt knew so much about the natural surroundings, he gave us facts on the trees and animals and history of the area. He was also so easy to talk with and made it a point to know the names of everyone on our team and ask us questions about ourselves. Canopy climbing was an unforgettable memory for me and my team and we are planing to come back and request Matt be our kayaking guide for our next excursion!

We are so happy we could leave you all with an unforgettable experience. Matt is a great person and one of our best guides, we are glad you enjoyed him as much as we do! Come back some team bonding over some rock climbing too! Best Wishes,

Leo was the best guide ever - showed and explained everything I needed to know to fully enjoy climbing the huge beautiful tree and really took care of me - I felt absolutely safe. Leo also shared a lot of interesting facts about tree climbing - I completely fell in love with such amazing activity: the trees look so gorgeously different from above! It made me sad that we cannot see it in our everyday life. Originally I wanted to do the sunset climbing, but it was booked for that day, so I did a regular climb - no regrets at all. I wish I can do tree climbing every time I visit Pacific Northwest! Thank you for sharing your love to what you do. The view from the top of the tree is unforgettable...
