A 21st century built two story residence made to look like it was built in the 19th century, full of beautiful antique furniture, display cabinets, chandeliers, antique wood flooring, winding grand staircase, and something made of turquoise everywhere you look. Much beauty and history can be found here.

I'm not a big fan of turquoise jewelry, but I wanted to go to the museum mainly to see the building. Wow! I was amazed! The staff was very friendly, and I had the opportunity to hear a discussion about turquoise by Jacob. I had no idea of the history or of the scams involving turquoise. The building is beautiful, the staff is fabulous, the museum provides secure parking, and you will certainly gain some valuable information by touring the museum.

Loved this museum - the architecture of the former home it's housed in is captivating. Great parking lot with a property guard. You enter thru the gift shop; I pre-purchased my ticket online. Nice clean restrooms in the shop before you head over to the mansion. Spacious exhibits - you don't know whether to look at the next display or stand and gawk at the structure itself. Sandy was a very knowledgeable guide; I enjoyed talking to her. All the guides take an interest in your visit, asking if you have a favorite mine. I purchased a very unique necklace in the shop; it's a fond memory of my trip to New Mexico.
