We were so glad we had shawn as our tour guide. He answered every question about horses and the horse farms we saw. His statistical knowledge of the horse racing circuit was impressive. He was very likable and a pleasure to talk with. We'd take this tour again.

Based on the excellent reviews here on TA, I booked Unique's horse farm tour for a weekend trip in Lexington. Even with less than a week to arriving, I was able to secure a spot on an afternoon tour. Mr. Shawn met me on time at the pick up spot. After picking up the remaining passengers, we head to the first of two farms to visit. Mr Shawn knows so much not only about the horses, but also the farms and local lore. During the tour, he would give us information that gave me a better understanding. At our first stop, we got to not only see, but touch and feed treats to Thoroughbreds. Up close you can't help but admire the beauty and grace of these horses. The pricing due to bloodline amazed me. We next headed to a barn to walk around and learn about the horses in the stalls. The barns which these horses live in are nice even with chandeliers and indoor mini race track! At the next farm, the actual owners came out and talked to us about their love of horses. Never expected this to happen! We also got a chance to visit a tobacco barn and Shawn explained the curing process. The only bad part, the tour went by too fast! Otherwise it was very enjoyable, the pricing reasonable with an excellent guide. I highly recommend taking a tour with Unique!

From the very beginning, Shawn was warm and friendly. He grew up here among the local horse community and knows many of the farm owners personally. He had great stories and did everything he could to make sure we had a wonderful experience. He tailors his tours to what the audience wants to see, so every tour is truly unique. We did another farm tour the day before, but Shawn far surpassed the other company.I definitely recommend him.
