AWESOME experience. Booked a tour for myself and friend visiting from Canada - went for the morning tour as we knew it would be hot later. The owner and tour guide Shaun, was incredibly prompt and friendly. He met us exactly where he said he would with a nicely labeled small bus. When we arrived we found out that we were the only ones who had booked that tour-I was so happy that he hadn't canceled on us! Very considerate of his customers. The tour was very flexible based on what would be best for the day - we went to one large very "professional" farm first and got to see (and pet!) tons of babies and beautiful horses. Next, as we drove around gorgeous horse country getting gems of info about the area and horses, we stopped in at a farm which had a swimming pool for horses and were lucky enough to see a GORGEOUS racing horse exercising. Finally, we stopped at a historic farm with more beautiful grounds (including barns used in the Sea Biscuit film) and lovely horses of course. A wonderful experience I can definitely recommend.

My friend and I had the pleasure of going on this tour on May 19, 2016. Our tour guide, Sean, had a wealth of knowledge not only about horses, but about their owners, their trainers, their bloodlines, the farms, and their groomsmen. Sean took us to places the normal person would not be allowed to go. He was so informative, it was amazing! He even knew the names of the barn cats! We got out of the tour bus many times and got up close to pet the beautiful horses, and to feed them peppermints. Sean knew which horses would take the peppermints from us and which ones wouldn't. This tour was supposed to be a 2 1/2 hour tour, but Sean extended it much to our delight, to almost a 4 hour tour. He kept saying "Oh, I need to take you to this farm", and off we went again. This tour was definitely the highlight of our week in Kentucky. I recommend that anyone that visits Lexington, to take this tour.

You can tell that Shaun loves what he does! From the moment you step on the bus, he provides you with excellent information on the farms, and inside information on the horses. He is very knowledgeable and great at what he does. We got to visit 4 farms and see a few babies! Toward the end it started to rain and thunder. My husband and I did not drive to the visitor center. We were staying at the campground so they drove us. Shaun immediately offered to drive us to our campsite. When we told them that the campground personnel were going to get us, he allowed us to wait in the bus. The tour and the hospitality was far beyond expectations!
