We enjoyed the western themed paintings. Lots of displays and tablets with info on each one. The Bryan Museum is a great place to learn more about Texas history from before the European colonizers to the early 1900's.

The museum was one of the nicest set up museums I've ever been in! The displays we artfully arranged. You could tell a lot of thought went into the design, and collection. I'm glad we went, but the basement/orphanage area was creepy.

This is a beautifully curated museum. It is a fascinating journey through the history of Texas and Galveston, told through a unique collection of artefacts that are well presented and engaging - does a better job in our view than the San Antonio equivalents. The staff are warm and very welcoming, and the docents very knowledgeable and attentive. It all takes place in a gorgeous building which has been magnificently restored, set in beautiful grounds, with a delightful cafe and shop. Highly recommend for a visit.
