What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

Although the water was murky in parts this was fascinating non the less. We went on the larger submarine which was good as I was concerned about confind space but it wss very spacious to be honest. I had just had a total knee replacement in November 2018 and then a fall in March 2019 so I was worried getting down the ladder but all good. Was interesting seeing the artificial reefs made and we did see turtles and a Ray also a shark so we weren't disappointed.

Lucked up on this adventure, boy am I glad we did. If you have always wanted to see what it looks like under the ocean but you are not a swimmer or a poor swimmer this the next best thing. You get to go as deep as 100 feet below the surface of the water to see ship wrecks and sunken aircraft. These are things you can only see if you are scuba diving. We were lucky and saw 3 different turtles and a Black tip shark on our trip. For a stay dry and still experience the ocean under the surface this the way to go.

Apple at Affordable tours on Seaside Ave. got us on the tour and was a great ride out and the underwater views were a nice way to see fish, plane wrecks and a ship. a must do if you get a chance. also All the staff were friendly
