Whitney Plantation

As we make our way to the Plantation site guests will see such sites as the marsh of Lake Pontchartrain, and an elevated expressway going through the Louisiana swamp. Also see what the Corp of Engineers are doing to prevent the next Hurricane Katrina catastrophe. You will also see such plantations as Evergreen where they film Queen Sugar the new mini series on the OWN and 12 years a slave.

My wife and I were a long way from home (Nashville,Tn) on vacation in New Orleans. We booked a Whitney Plantation Tour through Crescent City Tours and got the opportunity to meet our tour guide Brian. It didn't take long for us to realize we had met a new friend. Brian took the sting out of a very sensitive tour with his hospitality. He was very informative and genuine. It was like meeting up with family we hadn't seen in a long time.
