White Wolf Sanctuary is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that was was founded in 1999. Our mission is to preserve and protect wolves, promote the recovery of wolf populations where appropriate and encourage conservation through education of all wildlife and the role it plays in the natural world.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
The weather does vary. We recommend dressing for cool, possibly wet weather. Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Our road is not suitable for low profile vehicles such as sports cars. Pets are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds.

Everything was very smooth, our guide (Volunteer) was knowledgeable, friendly, had good communication and she had a bond with the wolves that made the wolves seem very comfortable even with people unknown to them. We were the only 2 on the tour and the wolves howling and being playful was quite an experience. We were able to get within a few feet of these majestic animals and see their eyes alight with intelligence. Learning how these animals are persecuted as a villain when it is simply not true is a real eye opener.

This was a fantastic experience. Very educational--I even learned (or perhaps, relearned) a few things. There was such a wide age range of participants as well, from seven years old to well over seventy. My daughter wanted to have a real-life wolf visit for her birthday and this was a great option. We turned the whole thing into a day trip to the Oregon Coast, in early September when the weather is still nice. Nicola was a great guide, and she even drove us in her vehicle because ours would not make it up the road. She was pleasant and personable and even gave us a restaurant recommendation that we later dined at and loved. Our daughter wants to return soon! Not surprising that some of the others on the tour were on a second visit as well.

Very educational and lovely atmosphere. Will tell friends and family. You do need four or all wheel drive to attend the tour.
