It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The flags tell the story of religious struggle and persecution, the effect of Christianity disallowing any other God to be worshiped. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. Amelia Island

The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

Thank you for taking your first trip out on Amelia Island with us! Beth is one of an exclusive group of locals that have fallen in love with a place that they now call home. As a result, every tour is a very special occasion based around what is Amelia's incredible world history. The only location to have flown Eight Flags since the first, that of the French back in 1562 and through on an incredible historic Downtown journey with lined Victorian homes from our Golden Years. We had a wonderful time on our 8 flags tour! Daniel was so knowledgeable and made the tour so fun. There is so much history on this Island you would never know about if you were just walking around admiring the beautiful homes. Enjoy your visit!!
