Our evening was so perfect! This was my most anticipated part of my trip to New Orleans. Mardi Gras School and Laurent did not disappoint! Laurent was a perfect teacher who mixed a perfect blend of culinary expertise, history, and fun into an evening of great food and great company. We made Gumbo, Shrimp Etouffe, and Bananas Foster. They were all incredible. I am a semi-proficient cook and the instruction level was just right for me, but you could tell that Laurent would tailor the instructions for any level of chef. We had to practically be rolled out of the studio afterwards we were so full. If you are considering a cooking class during your time in New Orleans, you should book with Mardi Gras!
