The company never showed up to take us to Airport. Contacted company, they 1st told me we had no reservation then backed tracked and said they would be there in 20-30 minutes. We could not accept the time frame for pick up, being that we had to be at JFK airport within a certain time frame..within 1 hour. I cancelled because we could not wait and now Viator is refusing to refund us, even though the company did not pick us up in the confirmed timeframe and was going to be at least 30 minutes late picking us up. We spent over $700 in booking s with Viator this month, we will never use them again.

The driver was waiting when we arrived at the specified time, however he was unhappy that he had been waiting for 20 minutes. He told us that if we had been 10 minutes late, he would have left without us. The car was untidy and felt dirty, the driver was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. I would never use this service again.

Firstly the good. I found the booking and the confirmation process very easy. Called when we had collected our luggage and the SUV arrived 10 mins after the call. The driver loaded our bags on and away we went, very smooth. When we reached central Manhattan, there had been a traffic problem and the police had closed a road. Not the road we were trying to reach but the traffic was vary heavy and our driver started moaning and saying that the road that was closed was the only way to get to our hotel. We queried this but he was adamant and told us he would have to drop us away from the hotel. He then pulled up 2 blocks away from our street, across the other side of Times Square! The four of us ended up having to wheel our heavy cases and hand luggage across Times Square at 8pm in the evening to find our hotel ourselves. Not Impressed!! To add insult to injury, the driver told us that although the trip was paid for, we owed him $30 for tolls and a tip! We later found out that the toll is only $9.50 and tips are optional! The guy wouldn't have got a penny tip usually as he hadn't got us to our destination or made any real attempt to do so. All in all very disappointing start to our trip. The return transfer was a lot better, the driver arrived at the hotel in plenty of time, only requested the $9.50 toll in addition and we were happy to give him a tip. If you use this service, just be aware that there is an additional payment due for tolls but tipping is an option!
