This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

Tour was fantastic, we were a little dubious about taking a mushing tour in summer and not on snow. We didn't need to worry, from the easy pick up, to friendly welcome and informative discussions about the dogs and kennels this tour was amazing and super fun. The highlight for the adults in our family was the mushing through the forest on the four wheeled carts and for the kids it was the puppy meet and greet. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who travels to the Talkeetna area.

Our family had the best time meeting these amazing huskies and learning about the Iditarod. Our boys loved it too, it was quite thrilling to be pulled along forest trails by a team of huskies who were past and maybe future Iditarod champions, incredibly awesome!!!! A once in a lifetime experience for sure, we will be looking for Dallas, and our tour guides Amelia and Sam in future races and cheering them on, as well as all the amazing dogs we met. I would highly recommend bringing full rain gear for your family, we were really glad we had it in Mid July.
