This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This experience was a highlight of our visit to Alaska. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Dog sled owners and racers themselves, they patiently answered all our questions and took us on a tour of their kennels. We got to pet lots of dogs and puppies and we got to drive the dry land sleds through their trails. Great time!

We booked this ride very last minute when the weather was too rainy for much else. We are so glad we did! The crew was very informative and helpful, and mushing the dogs was a delight! We learned a ton about the Iditarod and got to meet award-winning champion dogs. Unique experience for sure! Side note: be sure to wear shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
