This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

Such a fun day! My husband was fishing, so I brought my 9 and 12 year old, and they loved it! We met the guide downtown Talkeetna, and they took us in a shuttle to the site. We had a safety talk and got ready. They even had some boots for me to borrow. A guide drove a cart with one child and I drove one with the other (Give them a call if you have an odd number party, and they will accommodate you.) it was a thrilling 40 minute ride, a few stops and plenty of time for photos. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. Get ready to make some dog friends! By the end we knew our teams and all the other dogs by name, and learned all about their training and the Iditarod. And we met puppies!! My oldest said they wanted to go back this winter to do snow mushing! Highly recommend this activity, it is worth the money!

We had the best time meeting the dogs, learning about their training and how to ‘mush’. Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly! We had an amazing day. Highly recommended!!
