This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

AK Sled Dog Tours was one of our highlights from our trip to Alaska. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgable, and clearly love what they do. You can tell how much they love the dogs and how well they're taken care of. We almost chose a different activity for this day but we're so glad we didn't. 100% recommend!

I took my 15 year old daughter with me and we had a blast not only mushing the dogs, but learning all about the Iditarod and how hard that race is. This is a great activity for anyone who loves dogs and being around puppies! The staff is super nice and answers all your questions. Not disappointed at all and highly recommend!
