We have spent years exploring southern Utah so we can take you to the most jaw-dropping views and secret spots.
This is the Half Day Cathedral Valley tour option. A superb way to get a taste of the backcountry of Capitol Reef National Park without the time commitment of a full day tour, making it perfect for families or groups with limited time.

We will drive about 1.25 hours on dirt roads to the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon and Glass Mountain, one of the most stunning, photogenic features in Capitol Reef, with plenty of stops along the way to stretch our legs and admire scenic views. We spend up to an hour here, then drive back the same way about 1.25 hours.

Mason was!!! He’s the best guide I have ever had!!! His knowledge, personality, enthusiasm and humor made the tour!! Loved seeing all the sites! Majestic scenery, the colors, and learning the history! Thank you again Mason for a great tour! We want to come back and do some star gazing!!! We will definitely tell our friends!!

Wow! What a wonderful time we had. Mason was our guide and we just asked question after question and he was happy to share all of his knowledge. He truly has a love of the land. His knowledge of the history and geology of everything was astounding. He did everything to make our excursion comfortable, and have our pictures come out to the best advantage. It was a cold and bright sunny day and the clouds were definitely posing for every picture. We did the afternoon tour, and saw amazingly beautiful rock formations with the sun shining on them. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see it all in a couple of hours.

What a wonderful time! Our guide, Allison, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, about geology and about the cultures of the ancient ones who trekked the lands before us. She was fun and kind. Her love of the land was obvious. She doled out golden nuggets of knowledge that sparked our curiosity to go learn more on our own. Do yourself a favor and book an adventure with Sleeping Rainbow Adventures. I’m looking forward to going back and stargazing with them!
