Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

We had Jeff for our Salem Ghost Tour and he was very knowledgeable with both history and ghost stories in the town. There was an issue with our confirmation even though we ordered tickets at 6am, they did not receive confirmation for the tour at 8pm. So the guide was late but he definitely made up for it during the tour. The meeting place is a little unclear because there is no meeting sign or postage to say you are in the right spot. So if there isn't someone there 15 minutes prior, I would call to confirm everything is correct. We were the only ones on the tour so we waited out in the cold for 40 minutes prior to the tour while Jeff rushed over to do an "impromptu" tour.

Our tour guide, Jeff, made this tour so interesting and unforgettable. He was full of facts and stories and so much knowledge that although the tour is almost 2 hours, we could have stayed there all night listening to everything he knows about Salem!

Olivia was amazing. She is a fine actress and very insightful on the tour. During a time of a pandemic, she was very observant of her surroundings and made obstacles due to this, unnoticeable.
