Overview

Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War. We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history. From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

What To Expect

Salem Black Cat Tours

Your guide will meet you at the Axelrod Walkway park at 28 Charter Street, next to the Peabody Essex Museum, located across the street from the Witchcraft Trials Memorial and Old Burying Point Cemetery Welcome Center.

I did the Salem Ghost Tour with a group of friends on Halloween. The tour was great, our guide was really knowledgable and took the time to answer all our questions. The guide also made the tour engaging and interesting!

Daniel was super awesome and informative! It's almost like he was telling a story with this walk through making me more interested and also scared at the same time! He has been part of this business for 15 years and has a passion for the History of Salem! Like me he also believes in spirits so definitely be on the look out for any actual activity while in Salem! Also around Halloween they actually dress up which beat the other ghost tours hands down! Give this a go and book super early!!!
