Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

The tour started at 8:00pm, our guide Daniel, was excellent. He had so much information on the history and lore of every house and building we went to. He made the tour fun as well as educational, and the ghost stories were chilling also. The ghost sighting stories were really good, my husband was really spooked by them ! I enjoyed them as well. We had a small group, but that was really nice as we could ask all the questions we wanted and it was much more intimate We would highly recommend this tour and we plan on coming back and do this tour again, we had a great time.

We stayed in Salem for one night before flying home to LA we had a great time! We had Daniel as our BlackCatTour guide and we had an awesome time! We definitely recommend taking this tour we even snapped a few ghostly photos you could definitely see a woman standing in the window I mean I could see her clear as day makes me think they have a mannequin in the window but I took a quick photo and it looked more opaque and ghostly in the photo which then made me think it was really a ghost and not a doll ... my husband snapped a photo too and there’s a woman’s face in it I uploaded two photos can you see the images ? Anyway back to the tour! I’m so glad we booked a black cat tour I could hear the other tour guides and their voices were not as mellifluous as Daniel’s voice I would not have enjoyed the other tours ... we were so blessed to have this experience 💕✨ thank you

Our tour guide Daniel was very informative and fun. He made sure everyone in the group was safe and had a word to cross the street which was kinda fun as it was in French. Allons-y I think that was it.. I think it meant let’s go. We basically had a private tour and could ask any questions we wanted to.. it was personalized. Thanks for the tour!!
