Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

From Witches to Clue to Blackbeard and hauntings - this tour had it all! Two of my friends and I took the 8pm Saturday night tour and loved it! The tour guide, Daniel, had a great rhythm and flow throughout the tour and was very knowledgeable! The 1 hour 45 minute tour went by so quickly and left us wishing there was more!

My husband and I booked a history tour with this company, and it was a blast! Our guide, Daniel, was very charismatic and knew a plethora of information about Salem's troubled past. Of course, the group visited several of the famous sites during the era of the witch trials, but we also learned that Salem played a large role in the Revolutionary War, and that it was once the wealthiest city in the US. Daniel also pointed out some of the areas that were used in the filming of "Hocus Pocus," including the Salem Town Hall. Great history...highly recommend!

My wife and I booked this tour for a daytime event, and I was pleasantly surprised. Having been dragged on walking ghost and historical tours by my wife in the past, I was anticipating a dull affair. However, Daniel, the tour guide, was a rather charismatic fellow in a similar manner as a game show host. Admittedly, I haven't taken all the tours in town, but I would recommend this one.
