Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

I can't compare this tour to others, but this one is definitely good. It was interesting and Daniel is great guide. Anyway, if you visit Salem, you should go to some tour. This one is good choice.

There are quite companies to book ghost tours with in Salem, I wasn't sure who to book with, but when I saw the amazing reviews for Black Cat I decided to book with them. They did not disappoint! Our guide, Daniel, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Salem. Every other group we passed had at least 20 people and the guides did not seem as passionate about what they were saying. However, our group only had one other person. Because there were only 3 people in our group we were able ask questions and stop at the different spots to take quite a few photos. I even caught quite a few strange, possibly ghostly things on camera! Daniel even told us about some of the haunted houses he's lived in. I definitely recommend this tour if you want a smaller more personalized experience and you want to see some ghosts!

Wonderful tour! Our tour guide Daniel was knowledgeable and entertaining. The pacing and amount of time spent on each location were perfect. I would recommend this tour to friends and I would take this tour again next time I am in Salem!
