My husband and I went on the Bunsen Peak hike with Emily Jo. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this hike! Emily Jo is very knowledgeable about the area, so we learned some things while enjoying some fantastic views of Yellowstone! This was the first hike of our trip and one of the great things was that we learned more about bear awareness (eg, we knew about bear spray, of course, but did not know that bear bells are useless and potentially even bad - the noise might make the bears curious!), which helped us on the rest of our hikes in Yellowstone and in the Tetons. And even though the hike got started late, due to Emily Jo getting stuck in an animal traffic jam, we didn't care because the experience was so great otherwise (if this happens to anyone else, be patient and never fear - the hike will go on!). Thank you to Emily Jo for helping make our trip to Yellowstone so memorable.

We had a great time on our guided hike in Lamar Valley. The time passed so quickly - our guide had great information, showed us animals, plants, and ecosystem points, took us off the trail to great and beautiful areas that we would not have known about, and shared all sorts of perspectives. We felt like we had spent the day with a friend and really enjoyed the conversation and company! His knowledge on natural science, current events, and history of the area was greatly appreciated.

Our tour guide was Zach. We hiked in Lamar Valley. Zach was friendly, great personality, very experienced, organized & knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to come upon a herd of pronghorn. Zach helped us position ourselves to get a bit closer to observe these beautiful animals. It was incredible. We saw several bison and many squirrels & birds. He brought snacks & packed lunches for us. We ate lunch riverside. The hike itself was easy. He recommended pants because we did get off trail where the grass was higher which I appreciated. He had extra binoculars & bear spray. It was a surreal experience, a highlight of our trip for sure. Thank you Zach!!!!
