We went during Christmas-New Year season and the lines were long. I recommend wearing warm clothing like jackets, thermals, hand gloves, winter hat, etc., as it gets really cold here during this time. When booking tickets on tripadvisor, make sure to download the PDF ticket to your phone or take a print out. I did the mistake of taking the green color applet with barcode on it. It only worked at the entrance but did not work for skywalk. So make sure to download the entire pdf.

Terrible experience!! Except seeing the grand canyon itself. We have waited for hours to hop on their shuttles between points. It was awful. People had to wait for hours and it was super cold! Never go there during busy season.

Terrible experience We went to Grand Canyon west today and it was a terrible experience. They suggested we reserve three hours of time to spend there. We spent at least 2:45 minutes waiting for tickets and waiting on their busses. Just long line after long line after long line. It seemed to get worse at every turn. It was an awful lot of money to wait in line. By the time we finally made it to the canyon, my kids were completely out of patience. We took a picture and went back. They seemed to not be staffed to handle the number of visitors. Not sure if that was due to the holiday or perhaps Covid. They really should have turned visitors away. We left at 430pm and they were still letting people in to wait in ridiculously long lines. Extremely disappointed in the experience. The canyon was beautiful. And the buses were warm. But I wouldnā€™t suggest this to anyone after todays experience.
