I learned so much from the guide. She truly knows the history of New York. Ground zero is a must see.

We knew this had the potential to bring about a tear or two. It absolutely did. This place is Sacred Ground and an absolutely breathtakingly somber and fitting tribute to those many many people lost during the senseless terrorist attack on 9/11. The park staff is very helpful and makes sure everyone that is here to pay respects is just that; reflective, keeps noise levels at a proper level that is due this monument. They keep the plaza spotlessly tidy, the trees offer plenty of shade and only add to the museum and 1776 foot high observatory deck are well worth the price. It is a MUST do and see whilst in NYC

Our tour guide was John Block. As they had no other booking for our time slot we were lucky enough to get a 1 on 1 tour. We started at battery park and finished at the 911 memorial site. John is a local who has lived here for 50 odd years. This showed with the amount of information and quirky little stories he gave us about all sorts of things. As he will admit himself he is a guy who can and loves to talk, which is a good attribute for a tour guide! He was extremely friendly and even gave us some general tips on how to make the city work for us in terms of transport and not overpaying for things etc. lovely guy and made our experience really nice. Highly recommended.
