Half Day Grand Teton Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview
Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

Peter was amazing! The tour was great we saw lots of wildlife and a great tour of the surrounding areas. the sunset on top of the mountain was breathtaking. it is definitely good money spent to see all of their secret hide away holes of where wildlife stack up, to be viewed. I highly recommend taking this tour, its a wonderful overview of jackson hole! Jason Honaker

I just returned from an amazing half-day wildlife safari through the Jackson Hole/Grand Teton National park. COVID certainly had it's challenges for this summer but everyone on the tour including our excellent guide Julie, wore face coverings and there was room in the vehicle for spacing. As an experienced guide and local member of the community, Julie has a very thorough knowledge of the animals, their patterns and history of the area. I've been to Jackson many times but learned new interesting facts on the morning with her. She was fun and I recommend asking for her when you book. Due to the animal movements if you cannot do a full day safari then I recommend a morning one to get the best chance for good sightings. My trip was in October and we saw elk, black bear, grizzly bear, pronghorn, bison, moose and various birds on the river. We had an excellent morning especially finding the most famous bear in the park, Grizzly 399 and her 4 cubs! The communication between the guides to bring us to the sightings is great. It's difficult to find all this driving by yourself let alone seeing them all in one morning. Overall I definitely recommend riding with the guides from Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari to have the best wildlife viewings on your visit to the area. It is money will spend and will provide a wonderful memory of your visit. Tip: If you have a National Park Pass, bring it!
