Overview

Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

Not sure this tour was worth the money paid. Our guide was ok. He was excited about wildlife but we had to ask questions to get information. Not sure I would book with this company or this tour again.

My family and I were in Jackson September 7-11. My husband and son were supposed to go fly fishing Tuesday, but it was snowed out (!), so we decided to book a half day safari for the entire family. Now I am glad the fishing was canceled, because we had so much fun and learned a lot as a family on the safari. Jeffrey was so knowledgable and engaging . We saw a moose within the first 20 minutes, and we were so close that we had to keep stepping back, just to keep at least 75ft between us and the moose. My son skipped online school for this day, but at the end he said he learned three times as much by going on the safari. As a parent I loved hearing this. We kept referring to Jeffrey's tidbits all week. In fact, while driving through Teton national park on our way to Yellowstone, my younger son looked up from the huckleberry bush Jeffrey spoke about, and he spotted a black bear. I highly recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife safaris, and Jeffrey if you can get him. You will never look at Grand Teton National Park again.

Duane was awesome! He picked me and my friends up on time, brought enough binoculars and a spotting scope for all of us and took us to see all kinds of wildlife. He curated our trip so we could look for wildlife that most interested us including a moose, a whole family of bears, and plenty more. Would recommend this to anyone who’s never visited Jackson!
