Overview

Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Really enjoyed this wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Grant, did a fantastic job on providing an overview of the wild life as well as historical context of the Teton National Park. It was mid-Dec and we were able to see big horned sheep, moose, bison, and coyote. The sunset views of the Tetons provided a nice finish to the day. Highly recommend!

The morning began with an on time hotel pick up by our guide, Jeff who brought snacks and drinks. We then stopped at a local store for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Jeff made the experience a very positive one with his passion for nature and by his sharing a deep knowledge of the history and environment of the area. He was able to spot a variety of wildlife Including big horn sheep, moose, bison, eagles and elk. The elk, apparently, were late coming down to the refuge so we did not see the quantity that usually exist there but we were able to see elk. We also saw some trumpeter Swans which were quite beautiful. Good quality binoculars were provided by the company along with a scope that Jeff helped us use to take up close animal pictures with our iPhones. It was a very pleasant morning and Jeff was able to keep us entertained while providing a safe educational experience over snowy and icy roads. I always felt safe with Jeff behind the wheel of a large, new SUV. If I return to this area in the summer, I would Like to take a full day wildlife safari with this company. Highly recommend.

Daughter turned 40. Our family trip was Awesome. Our guide was wonderful. Very informative with the history, and wild life. He took photos for us. Made us comfortable in every way. Highly recommend. So AWESOME!
