Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

This was a wonderful experience! The captain and guide were amazing! I get sea sick and Aaron made sure I was comfortable and feeling good the whole time. They were very attentive to all the guests. We got to see a few mantas rays and two were following us the whole night! It was awesome and I would 100% recommend!

Ali'ho and Aaron were amazing guides, we were lucky enough to see 5 rays on our night out! Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in seeing mantas!

A perfect small group experience (only 8 people). We didn’t get ignored as has happened on bigger tour boats. Our two guides were professional, putting our safety #1, yet were knowledgeable and friendly. Once in the water, we just floated flat holding on to a strong plastic tube attached to the surf board holding the underwater lights. It took seconds for 10 manta rays to start feeding inches from us. What a wonderful aquatic ballet! This is the best experience we have had in 3 trips to Hawai’i.
