Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Can’t say enough good things. We had a wonderful time & got to see 3 large mantas. Highly recommend this company. Aaron was our guide for our trips and he was phenomenal. He gave us a bunch of useful information and was very knowledgeable. We also got to experience 3 captains. All of them were amazing. I would definitely suggest booking in the beginning of your trip in case you do not see any mantas. They are really great about allowing us to rebook (at no charge) since we did not see them on the first trip.

Amazing crew members and gorgeous Manta Ray! We saw multiple do barrel rolls and backflips. Plus awesome fish swimming close up. Highly recommended!

It was surreal! The crew was great. Thanks Frank and Keoki. Clearly, the most amazing wildlife experience ever. My only complaint was that the very nice craft was small, only accommodating 12, and made the ride to and from the snorkel site very rough. If you have any neck issues, anticipate a rough ride. I would also suggest that first snorkelers in the water be instructed to move to the more distant spots along the lightboard, so that the remaining guests don't need to swim around their kicking feet. Again, a bucket list adventure! Don't hesitate....do it!
