This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. Your food tour guide gives you an insider's perspective into local history with music, serenades and family tales. Samples and sights subject to change.

What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg is an amazing energetic, fun, and informative tour guide. The thing that impressed me the most was the kindness he extended to those we encountered on the street who are less fortunate than those of us on the tour.

Getting to sample all the little bits of Italy’s best was amazing. Greg was very knowledgeable on all the food stops and local spots. He took his time and didn’t rush us through it.
