This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. Your food tour guide gives you an insider's perspective into local history with music, serenades and family tales. Samples and sights subject to change.

What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg is a hoot. He knows anybody who's anybody in the neighborhood. The food was tasty, plentiful, and warm. We visited a hidden gem of a church with beautiful stained glass panels.

This was an amazing food tour! My fiance and I are NYC locals and we assumed that we would know all the spots on the food tour, but we were totally wrong. Greg took us to so many amazing hidden gems and we can't wait to go back. He shared so much history about the neighborhood, and his own family, which gave the tour such a personal touch. Highly recommend! So enjoyable and you will leave full!

Greg's NYC Greenwich Village Italian Food Tour was eccellente!! The information he shares about the history of the neighborhood and his family is knowledgeable and FUN!!
