This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg is just such an interesting and knowledgeable tour guide, who personalizes the tour with his own families history in Greenwich Village and in the US. Lots of fun facts about the area, his family, many of the local owners, etc. We tasted delicious gelato, onion focaccia, cheeses, meatball, prosciutto, expresso and/or coffee, and ended with an amazing cannoli. We were a total group of 4 which was a nice size for such a wonderful & private tour. We saw other groups that were huge and it would have been so annoying to try & fit everyone into these cute shops & restaurants. We were so happy we booked such an intimate & smaller tour with Greg who lives & breathes Greenwich Village. It's his neighborhood & community which really comes thru on his tours. We also saw some lovely churches & a beautiful Italian Square. Thank you Greg it was a lovely afternoon even though the temperatures were quite cool you made it so enjoyable.

An excellent and thoroughly enjoyable tour. Greg is a very knowledgeable and friendly man who certainly enjoys his work. We were transported to Italian culture in New York from the last 150 years and the food was great. Thanks Greg.

We were the only ones on this tour, so it was basically a private tour. Greg is a true Italian New Yorker and has lots of stories and insider knowledge. The food was incredible. I’ve take a lot of tours and love this one because it was unique and authentic. Plus, anyone who books this tour gets Greg himself, so you don’t have to worry about variability in your tour guide (because not all tour guides are good!)
