This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

We went on the Italians of Greenwich Village Food Tour yesterday. Greg was our guide for this delicious tour. There were 7 stops on the tour and 5 of them were food stops. We sampled Itallian prosciutto, gelato, meatballs, arancini and fruitti-misu. Greg is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the local businesses as well as the history of the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Greg is quite the entertainer! Had all of us chuckling the whole day yesterday! Anyone who can keep our two 20+ year-olds engaged gets five stars! We are native New Yorkers, grew up in the city and we learned much from Greg that we didnt know. Planning to take his other tours in the spring when weather improves. Highly recommend Greg Walks NYC!
