This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Take this tour for a great experience about Italian families, culture, and their excellent foods. Greg was a terrific guide. He provided background for the wonderful food and the charming neighborhood through his personal story of his Italian family. His enthusiasm was rewarded by each shop owner as they greeted him and hosted us warmly. Amazing experience! I’d do it again and wish for more time, more stories, and more Italian tastes!

Greg gave us a great tour of the Greenwich Village area. My wife and kids (8 and 11) agreed that we all learned a lot, got to sample authentic Italian food (all delicious), and has a really fun time. We’ll definitely book another tour soon. Thanks Greg!!!
