This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg is a local from an Italian family and had a lot to share. The food samples were of generous portions and represented different parts of Italy. Very easy route to walk.

We had a great time with Grag! He was able to give us an intimate perspective on this tour and we all learned so much about the history of this neighborhood. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an authentic experience. All the food from the places we visited was delicious! We got a taste of different Italian food staples which we all enjoyed. My family and I decided on this tour as we wanted to do something a bit different on our trip to NYC. We had a great afternoon with Greg, really enjoyed meandering around Greenwich village and being shown these great foodie places that we may have missed otherwise. Great bites of food to eat. Highly recommend if you love Italian food!
