This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

We had a grand time sampling Brazilian, Italian faire! Greg had familial connections to both the Italian & Polish communities in the area. He was gracious, fun & shared historical tidbits as well as introduced us to the locals. We thoroughly enjoyed his foodie “booty” tour!

We enjoyed Greg's familial connection to the area, his friendly fun manner & sampling some good noshes! Lots of interesting historical tidbits too. He also recommended other unique places for us in the area (coffee, Ukrainian restaurant).
