This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

One of the highlights of my visit to NYC was this tour. Whether you are a tourist or native NYer, I highly recommend this authentic tour. Greg is truly a Greenwich Village historian. His anecdotes added to the rich culture and history of the area. We were treated to local Italian eateries and historical landmarks. The food tasting was amazing with a nice balance of sweet and savory. As a bonus, Greg has a captivating personality who kept us engaged from start to finish. Take the tour, you won’t be disappointed.
