We were on our vacation trip in New Orleans, and the cooking class was a birthday present for my husband. Our instructor RAYMOND was great; shared some good kitchen tricks, explained everything well, and in the end, we could enjoy a delicious meal together. We can only recommend such a wonderful event to everyone!

Best thing to do in New Orleans? Cook a delicious meal with Chef Dave! We took the roux class, a hands on techniques class making gumbo, etouffee and bananas foster. This was by far the highlight of our trip and exceeded our expectations. He was a helpful expert and great storyteller with anecdotes about New Orleans and Cajun cuisine and culture. It felt like we were cooking with an old friend. He shared lots of secrets to prepping and cooking and taught us how to make roux for gumbo and shrimp etouffee. After we all cooked and ate our food we had helped prepare, Chef made a banana foster for us which was delicious! This was one of the best meals we ate while we were in NOLA. We will definitely do another class on our next trip. We’ve only been home a few days and are already rotating these recipes into our at-home menus. 10/10!
