We are the only Cooking School that does small intimate Hands On Classes in the French Quarter. Our class size ranges from 2 people to 10. Larger groups are welcome too. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends.

We attended the Mardi Grad School of Cooking recently and loved it! Chef Mark was a great teacher. We learned how to properly make a Roux (both oil and butter based), Shrimp Etouffee, Andouille Sausage & Chicken Gumbo and Banana's Foster. I can honestly say it is the best I have ever eaten. We took notes but the recipes provided and the techniques learned are top-notch. We have already made the Shrimp Etouffee on our own and were very pleased with it. I cannot recommend the Mardi Grad School of Cooking and Chef Mark more. Thanks so much for a great evening and our new cooking skills!!

My wife and daughter took the class and loved it. They made the best gumbo they had ever tasted. The teacher was a highly accomplished chef who was patient, fun and very knowledgeable. They loved the class and I should reap the benefits for years to come. They could not more highly recommend taking this class.

Cooking and a history lesson that allowed us to understand the importance of each ingredient and why it is specific to Cajun/Creole cooking.
