Private 3 Hours Hands-on Cajun Roux Class in New Orleans

Overview
The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Everything was excellent!! Learned new cooking techniques, awesome food and great fun!! Bubby was an wonderful chef and looking forward to returning again.

The Chef (Bubby) was very welcoming and taught us how to make an amazing Rue for gumbo and ƉtouffĆ©e.

This is a wonderful class and Raymond was a terrific teacher. It’s a great way to really experience New Orleans as well as bringing home the best souvenir ever - cooking skills you can recreate at home. I took the class with my 13 year old grandson and he loved it, too. Raymond promised us a great New Orleans meal - and it was. Also appreciated all his extra tips. We leaned a lot. A ++ experience!
