Overview

The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

My friend and I recently did the hands on roux cooking class and it was fantastic. Our chef Mark was engaging and entertaining and full of life. We cooked three delicious dishes - Sausage gumbo, Shrimp Étouffée and Banana Foster. The very best part was eating it all. The drinks were flowing from the moment we walked through the door. By the end of the evening all the students felt like family! I would HIGHLY recommend this experience to everyone. 😃

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves on this tour! Chef Preston was extremely personable and knowledgeable about his craft. The cooking studio was quaint and clean. This was a bday gift for my fiancé and I can honestly say this was a highlight of our trip. I snuck back the next morning to get some souvenirs from our experience, and Chef Preston was helpful even when the establishment was not open yet. We will definitely do this again when we come back next time! Thanks!
