Private French Quarter and Treme Walking Tour

Overview

Soul of NOLA will take you on a private walking tour of the French Quarter/ Vieux Carré, and just inside the adjacent Treme neighborhood. These neighborhoods were originally settled by Creoles and Free People of Color, they are some of our oldest and are steeped in vibrant cultural history. We will bring this fascinating past to life by sharing the stories of the people that walked these streets & made its colorful history. We'll discuss the varied architecture, and the significance of the French Quarter’s location. In the Treme we’ll talk about music and how New Orleans became the birthplace of jazz. Wear your walking shoes! Walking is the best way to explore the French Quarter. Tailored to your tastes, as are all our excursions.

We’ll be walking up to 2 miles, breaks as needed. Let us know if we need to adjust, we’re flexible!

Cassandra was fantastic! She asked us what specifically we were interested in hearing about and was really knowledgeable about the city history, architecture, culture & food. She answered questions, tied history to the present - and made it so interesting without the hoaky stuff advertised elsewhere. Also, she had great bar & restaurant recommendations, across the city.

We really enjoyed our tour with Derek. He was full of knowledge about the the history of NOLA, Louisiana, and the Mississippi River. We were able to tour at our pace. He went above and beyond to make sire that we were comfortable and having a good time on our tour.

Three friends and I did a private group walking tour of the French Quarter & Treme with Graziella. She is beyond excellent! We can't say enough positive words about her knowledge and passion for her city and her commitment to making our visit exceptional. We visited this past weekend (Sept 9-12) so it was still quite warm and humid. As visitors not accustomed to steamy NOLA weather, Graziella was fully appreciative of adapting to our relatively slow pace. She showed us wonderful sights and shared info that we would have totally missed if we've been strolling on our own with just a guidebook. Graziella's engaging style and in-depth knowledge gave us a "will remember forever" tour and warm welcome to New Orleans!
