Our private tours are very low risk and have always focused on getting away from crowds to more isolated areas of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We do not go to visitors centers, galleries or restaurants. You can even choose to walk for the duration of your tour and be outside the entire time!

What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Your private tour starts at the historic Volcano House hotel, located inside the National Park. Walk to the steam vents and sulphur banks to feel the heat of the volcano coming out of the ground. Walk thru the native rainforest to the devastation trail. Explore the Chain of Craters road to find volcanic landscapes of the past and rare rock formations.

Kilauea EcoGuides

Hike to the active lava flows of the volcano and get safely within a hands reach of flowing lava!

We took a morning tour with Eric, the owner of the company. He was very informative, knowledgeable and patient. It was fun to hear explanations about the volcano area from a geologist and also learn about the life of local people. We avoided crowded areas by starting early.

My significant other and I did this private tour with Jay Robinson and I wouldn't tour this park any other way if I were you. We both have huge science. and engineering backgrounds and I don't think there was. question he couldn't answer on top of the additional information he offered that we wouldn't have known to ask!.Kilauea has been a top-of-my-list journey for years.. This was the BEST tour. our guide Jay Robinson of Kilauea Ecoguides is a retired volcano ranger who actually wrote the pamphlets on different lava flows in the park! He took us to Mt. Kilauea and many others in our6 hours together; he had scopes and equipment to get us as close to the viewing as possible. in the last week it has produced several feet of lava flow on the surface; he said it was spewing at 15 ft. The night before: it was incredible to get the info from such a passionate and inspiring expert. He even offered, with our ok, to let others view through the scope. Amazing time!
