Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Private Safari Tour

Overview

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole!

After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife.

Private safaris have no age minimum.
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

McKinzie was a fantastic guide! She was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the area, which made for a incredible experience. Our main goal was to see moose and she delivered within the first hour. I would highly recommend a tour with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari and McKinzie.

My husband and I did the full day, private wildlife photography safari tour and our guide was Dwight Vasel. In a word, this tour was fabulous and being that Dwight is an experienced professional photographer, he was especially great at showing us the best spots to photograph. His work is shown in a gallery in town as well. He was so knowledgeable about every place to spot wildlife in the area. We ended up on a backroad with a herd of BISON walking all around us. It was incredible. We did this tour the first day in Jackson, which is great if you want a professional to show you around the area before you get started on your own. All of the snacks and picnic lunch provided were delicious. Dwight picked us up from our VRBO on Pearl street, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this tour and this tour company. Very reputable, great experience and totally worth the price!
