Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Private Safari Tour

Overview

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole!

After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife.

Private safaris have no age minimum.
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

We had a great time! Our guide took the time with my 4 yr old explaining the habits of the various animals and the landscape. We saw so many animals including a bear! Highly recommend it.

Jody was a wonderful guide. He knows so much about the area, the wildlife, history and "culture." My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the day! We were even able to hear and photograph wolves! Jody took photos of one of the wolves with my camera and photos of a bighorn sheep on my iphone through the scope for me. Just an all-around great guy and terrific guide.

Wow! What a great time! Kyle was a very knowledgeable guide and a friend. Lots of wildlife to photograph and beautiful scenery. Kyle knew us from previous trips and focused on what he knew we liked. We highly recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris. We have now taken 2 half day trips, the polar bear photo excursion and the Tetons and Yellowstone photo excursion. Great folks.
