Eight Flags Road Tour

Overview
Amelia Island is full of rich history, and is the only location in America to have flown 8 independent flags. It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The flags tell the story of religious struggle and persecution, the effect of Christianity disallowing any other God to be worshiped. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. This fascinating tour will take you on a journey through time and show you how such a small barrier island has had a major and little know impact on the history of America. Come and join us on a incredible passage through hundreds of years of incredible historical facts.

The driver left us in the rain after 1 minute ride around saying that he needs to take his bus to service. Then someone called us saying the tour was canceled and will get a refund in about a week

The safety of our passengers is always paramount in every tour we undertake. This includes sanitization of the vehicle(s) under the current climate of concern of CoVid and every other possible check to guarantee a safe and relaxing tour. When the temperature instrument panel of a tour bus goes to red (extreme temperature in the engine) is is mandatory for the driver (under company regulations) to take that vehicle to the mechanic and have the vehicle inspected. If the vehicle needs work, the van will be removed from service and another put into service in it's place. As this was the last tour of the day, no other vehicles were available to continue your tour and along with the other passengers, you were taken to a safe designated drop off point and informed of any due diligent action that might be taken (replacement bus or cancellation with refund) after the appropriate safety issues had been addressed. On this occasion is was not safe to continue the the tour and all parties on the bus were informed with an option to take another tour the next day. As this was declined due to your agenda a refund process was initiated instantly. The delay in your getting the refund comes from the fact that you booked through a third party and that company issues the return monies. We do not compromise the safety of out our client(s) and have not ultimate control over weather conditions. That being said the weather was dry on your departing from the bus, although there was a light shower during the time between your being dropped off and the phone call to inform you of the decision to cancel. Downtown has a vast number of buildings to enter into for shelter and in no way were you left in the open exposed to the elements. Apologies that the tour never met your standards and I hope that we might be able to restore that faith on a future date? The safety and well being of our customers is and always will be paramount on every tour.

Daniel Daley has a firm grasp on history and an engaging way of commentating on it. We had an enjoyable time sharing our British lineage Would like to read some books Daniel mentioned
